Hanna Chou

Animator | Video Editor | Visual Effects Artist

This little ol' reel just shows an overview to little ol' me. I love learning all sorts of things. Here are a few of them:
  • Animating rigged bodies and lip-synching in Moho
  • Creating 3D models, rigs, and animations in Maya and Blender
  • Compositing 3D animations into live-action footage using NukeX
  • Traditional 2D hand-drawn animation using Photoshop, Krita, and traditional mediums
  • Combining mixed media animation to create motion graphics in Adobe After Effects
Hi! I'm Hanna.

I'm a Virginia-based animator, video editor, and visual effects artist. In 2025, I received my BFA in Kinetic Imaging with a minor in visual effects from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). As a third-generation Chinese-American with an ever-evolving identity crisis, I focus a lot of my work on exploring the concept of identity and how it impacts one's sense of purpose. Although this topic has caused much fear, anxiety, and stress, I love trying to offset this sense of discomfort with visual humor, typically through exaggerated characters, narrative, and animation.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope we can work together soon. If you want to leave a message, check out my short film, or get in touch for any reason at all, reach out to my email or leave whatever your heart desires in the form below. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
