Hanna Chou is an animator, mixed-media artist, and storyteller based in Virginia.
In 2025, she received her BFA in Kinetic Imaging (animation, video, and sound) with a minor in Visual Effects from Virginia Commonwealth University.
As a third-generation Chinese-American with an ever-evolving identity crisis, she uses new media and animation to explore the concept of identity and how it impacts one's sense of purpose. Although this topic has caused much fear, anxiety, and stress, she offsets this this sense of discomfort with visual humor, typically through exaggerated characters, narrative, and animation.
